We now know the name of a victim in a deadly shooting last week. Thursday morning authorities were called to the El Paso County Courthouse on reports of a shooting outside of the building. When they arrived, they found 28-year-old William Winters dead from an apparent gunshot wound. A suspect—identified as 29-year-old Shaquille Brown—was taken into custody and is facing a first-degree murder charge. According to arrest papers, Brown claims he shot Winters out of fear for his life following an altercation at Blondie’s nightclub last April. CSPD says the investigation is ongoing.
