A woman accused in the dragging death of a tow truck driver is back behind bars

A woman convicted of the 2011 dragging death of a Colorado Springs tow truck driver is back behind bars. Officials say Detra Farries was booked into the El Paso County Jail on November 9th for violating her parole. Farries was granted parole in 2021. She was convicted of several charges including felony manslaughter. Allen Rose was attempting to connect Farries’ vehicle to his tow truck when he was caught in the tow line as she drove off. According to the 4th judicial district attorney, Farries is on a parole hold related to an assault and harassment allegation from earlier this month.
