A southern Colorado woman is under arrest in connection to the death of an elderly woman at an assisted living facility in Pueblo West. The Pueblo County Sheriff’s office says 32-year-old Tyshae Carbajal is facing multiple charges including crimes against an at-risk adult-negligent death in connection to the death of 74-year-old Marie Bayer. According to the autopsy report, Bayer died on June 29th from injuries sustained to her hip and leg. Investigators say surveillance video shows Carbajal causing the injuries and that she failed to report them and get Bayer the medical treatment she needed. Carbajal is currently booked into the El Paso County jail.
