Authorities are searching for suspects after an officer was punched Tuesday night. according to CSPD, an officer was on assignment at a store on East Platte north of Circle when they recognized a known shoplifter wanted on multiple warrants. Springs Police say the female suspect was leaving the store with stolen merchandise when the officer attempted to take her into custody. She resisted arrest. that’s when a man punched the officer multiple times. Both suspects fled the scene in a vehicle.
