A former foster parent convicted of child sex assault is sentenced

A former foster parent convicted of multiple counts of child sex assault received his sentence. The investigation into Joel Longshore began in 2020 after victims came forward about being sexually abused in their foster home. In March of 2021, Longshore was arrested on multiple counts of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust. According to the 4th judicial district attorney’s office, Longshore was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison with parole of 20 20 years to life.
