A Colorado Springs mother is under arrest following the death of her 4-year-old child late last year. On Friday, 25-year-old Raven Rudd was arrested on charges of child abuse resulting in death. According to Colorado Springs Police, on November 30th, 2022, the Crimes Against Children unit received reports of a deceased child. Officials say the child was found unresponsive and transported to a hospital by the mother and her boyfriend. In March, the child’s death was ruled a homicide.
The Colorado Springs Police Department says they’ve made an arrest following the death of a 14-month-old child in November of 2022. According to CSPD, officers were called to a home in the 800 block of Costilla Avenue on reports of an unresponsive child. Life-saving measures were attempted, but the child was pronounced dead at the home. In January of 2023, the child’s death was ruled a homicide. On Friday, the child’s mother, 32-year-old Amber Comstock was arrested on child abuse charges in connection to the child’s death.
