The City of Colorado Springs has announced a road closure due to major utility work on the southeast side of the city. Officials say beginning next Monday, a part of Galley Road between east San Miguel and Moffat Circle will be closed while crews do underground utility work near the bridge over West Fork Sand Creek. Detours will be in place at North Murray and Wooten Road. In addition, officials say a pedestrian detour will be at Moffat Circle for the homestead trail between Galley and North Murray. Officials expect galley road to reopen early next month.
