THE ENVRIOMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY SAID THURSDAY THEY WILL BEGIN TO TEAR DOWN THE “RETURN TO NATURE” FUNERAL HOME AT THE END OF FEBRUARY. THE OWNERS OF HOME ARE IN THE EL PASO COUNTY JAIL EACH FACING MORE THAN 200 CHARGES AFTER SOME 190 IMPROPERLY STORED BODIES WERE FOUND LAST OCTOBER. THE EPA SAY THE STRUCTURE HAD TO BE TORN DOWN BECAUSE IT WAS A MEDICAL AND BIOLOGICAL HAZARD.THEY WANTED TO BEGIN RAZING IT LAST WEEK BUT RAN INTO SOME LOGISTICAL ISSUES. OFFICIALS ESTIMATE IT WILL TAKE 10 DAYS TO COMPLETELY FINISH THE PROJECT.
