Man Arrested for Attempted Murder After Family Dispute

A MAN ARRESTED TUESDAY MORNING FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER.  AROUND 10:30 POLICE WERE CALLED TO THE 2800 BLOCK OF PINNACLE DRIVE ON A REPORT OF A FAMILY DISTURBANCE. POLICE SAY THE PERSON WHO CALLED SAID A FAMILY MEMBER WAS TRYING TO KILL THEM. WHEN OFFICES ARRIVED THEY SAW THE SUSPECT, 32 YEAR OLD CHARLES TANIS, DRAGGING AN ELDERLY MAN DOWN A HALLWAY. WHEN TANIS SAW OFFICERS HE LET TH MAN GO AND LOCKED HIMSELF IN A BATHROOM. TANIS TRIED TO ESCAPE OUT OF A WINDOW BUT WAS STOPPED AND TAKEN INTO CUSTODY. HE IS FACING CHARGES OF ATTEMPTED FIRST DEGREE MURDER AND SECOND DEGREE KIDNAPPING
