Officials Still Trying to Identify Bodies Found Improperly Stored at “Return To Nature” Funeral Home

TUESDAY THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY WILL BEGIN DEMOLITION OF THE “RETURN TO NATURE” FUNERAL HOME IN PENROSE WHERE 190 BODIES WERE FOUND IMPROPERLY STORED LAST OCTOBER. THOUSANDS OF HOURS HAVE BEEN SPENT IDENTIFY THE REMAINS OF THOSE INDIVIDUALS. EARLIER THIS WEEK THE FREMONT COUNTY CORONER GAVE AN UPDATE ON THAT PROCESS. CORONER RANDY KELLER SAYS THEY ARE STILL TRYING TO IDENTIFY 19 SETS OF REMAINS. THE EL PASO COUNTY CORONER DR. LEON KELLY AND HIS STAFF HAVE PLAYED A LARGE ROLE IN IDENTIFYING THOSE REMAINS. A CEREMONY WILL BE HELD FOR THE FAMILIES OF THE VICTIMS TUESDAY MORNING BEFORE THE DEMOLITION BEGINS.
