A NEW BILL COULD CHANGE THE WAY RESIDENTS IN COLORADO RECEIVE THEIR TABOR REFUNDS. PREVIOUSLY PEOPLE WOULD RECEIVE A REBATE CHECK WITH THEIR REFUND. NOW LAWMAKERS ARE ADVANCING A BILL THAT WOULD LOWER THE STATE’S INCOME TAX INSTEAD.. THE BILL STATES THE MORE THAT COLORADO COLLECTS THE MORE TAXES WOULD GO DOWN AND IF THAT STATE SURPLUS IS MORE THAT 1.5 BILLION DOLLARS, SALES TAX WOULD GO DOWN AS WELL. THIS WOULD BEGIN NEXT YEAR. THE BILL IS HEADED TO THE HOUSE FOR A VOTE.
