“Ford Amphitheater” Owners Respond to Complaints about High Noise Level

THE OWNERS OF THE FORD AMPHITHEATER HAVE AGREED TO ADDITIONAL MITIGATION EFFORTS TO CONTAIN LOUD MUSIC COMING FROM THE FACILITY. THE CITY HAS RECEIVED HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS FROM RESIDENTS AS FAR AS 3 MILES AWAY WHO SAY THE MUSIC IS LOUD EVEN INSIDE THEIR HOMES WITH WINDOWS SHUT. AMONG THE NEW MEASURES,  “VENU, ” THE OWNER OF THE AMPHITHEATER WILL INCREASE THE DEPTH OF A WALL ON THE EASTERN SIDE OF THE COMPLEX. THEY ARE ALSO CONSIDERING ADDITIONAL MITIGATION EFFORTS ON THE NORTH END. THEY MAY ALSO LOOK AT THE OVERALL SPEAKER SET UP IN THE AMPHITHEATER. THE OWNERS WILL LOOK AT ADDITIONAL NOISE DATA BEFORE MAKING ANY FURTHER CHANGES. THE CITY HAS ASKED FOR ACCESS TO EQUIPMENT THAT MONITORS DECIBELS OUTSIDE THE AMPHITHEATER.
