Woman Taken Into Custody After Crime Spree in Colorado Springs

ANOTHER SUSPECT TAKEN DOWN BY A COLORADO SPRINGS K-9 OFFICER. MONDAY MORNING OFFICERS WERE CALLED TO WEST BROOKSIDE STREET AFTER A WOMAN, IDENTIFIED AS ELIZABETH WAITERS, DROVE INTO A RESIDENTIAL FENCE AND WAS ALSO ALLEGEDLY SETTING FIRES NEAR THE AREA. OFFICERS SAY WAITERS WAS ALSO WANTED FOR A STRING OF CRIMES FROM EARLIER THAT MORNING INCLUDING AGGRAVATED ROBBERY IN WHICH SHE ALLEGEDLY STOLE A CAR TO GET AWAY AND HIT TWO PEDESTRIANS. AT THE RESIDENCE, WAITERS TRIED TO RUN AWAY AGAIN. K-9 ZEV WAS RELEASED AND TOOK HER DOWN. AFTER BEING TREATED FOR MINOR INJURIES AT A LOCAL HOSPITAL SHE WAS BOOKED INO THE COUNTY JAIL ON MULTIPLE CHARGES INCLUDING ROBBERY AND ELUDING POLICE.
