Colorado Senator Michael Bennet took to the Senate floor last week, to speak about the future of US Space Command. He, and many other Colorado officials, has called on the POTUS and other leaders to keep the command in Colorado, instead of moving it to Huntsville, Alabama. In his speech, Bennet said he wanted to remind people of the “urgency of this issue, not just for Colorado,” but for the country. He said, “this is a decision that should be made in the interest of the national security of the United States of America.” During the final days of his administration, Former President Donald Trump announced he was moving the command to Alabama. Some have theorized he made that decision on political grounds, and the proposed move has been at the center of several investigations.
