COLORADO SPRINGS-A man who went on a robbery spree targeting several convenience stores last month is under arrest. According to Colorado Springs Police, 31-year-old Eric Garcia of Alamosa was taken into custody Thursday. Authorities say from February 17th to February 22nd, Garcia entered the stores displaying a weapon and demanding cigarettes and cash. During the investigation, officers identified a suspect vehicle and then surveilled Garcia until they had enough probable cause for his arrest. Investigators say when they attempted to contact him, Garcia tried to flee and hit 3 civilian vehicles, and tried to accelerate through tactical vehicles as well. Authorities deployed chemical irritants in Garcia’s vehicle and were able to take him into custody.
