Ballots are going out in the mail today for the April municipal election in Colorado Springs. There are several spots open in the city government. There are a dozen candidates for the mayor position — as current Mayor John Suthers is term-limited. There are three at-large seats open on the Springs City Council. Also, a vacant slot for the remainder of the Council District 3 Term. The TOPS trails and open space tax extension is also up for a vote. More than 300,000 ballots are being sent through the mail — with a green strip that reads “official ballot enclosed.” They’re due by 7 p.m. on April 4th.
