The Town of Monument will soon have a new Chief of Police. Patrick Regan will take over the position May 8th. He’s a 20-plus-year veteran law enforcement expert. He’s spent 11 years of his career in leadership positions. Regan previously worked in several departments for the Scottsdale Police Department — including time in the Special Investigations Division, and the Drug Enforcement Administration Task Force. Throughout his career, Regan has been credited with a number of accomplishments; he helped implement check-in policy for mental health wellness — as well as drafting a suicidal suspect response policy described as innovative.
