Colorado Springs firefighters were able to put out a two-alarm fire within a few hours Thursday at a business on the southeast side of the city. Western Scrap Processing reported the fire just before noon. Fire crews say the blaze began in a pile of scrap metal that even contained whole cars in some spots. Just after 2 p.m., CSFD announced the blaze was under control, and crews were mopping up hot spots. No one was hurt, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
