THE TRIAL FOR AN EL PASO COUNTY SHERIFF DEPUTY ACCUSED OF KIDNAPPING AND SEXUAL ASSAULT HAS BEEN DELAYED. DEPUTY DALTON BRIDGES WAS ARRESTED EARLIER THIS YEAR AFTER INVESTGATORS SAY HE MADE SEXUAL ADAVANCES TOWARDS A WOMAN. WHEN SHE REFUSED AND TRIED TO LEAVE, HE GRABBED AND DRAGGED HER BACK INSIDE THE HOUSE. ACCORDING TO THE AFFIDAVIT THE WOMAN TOLD DETECTIVES BRIDGES FORCER HER TO HAVE SEX . THE TRIAL WAS DELAYED DUE TO BRIDGES PRIMARY ATTORNEY DEALING WITH A MEDICAL ISSUE AND IS SET TO START IN JANUARY OF 2024.
