THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW CITY WATER TANK IN COLORADO SPRINGS WILL CONTINUE DESPITE A STOP WORK ORDER FILED BY THE CITY. A NEW TANK IS BEING BUILT ON FLYING W RANCH. IT WILL REPLACE AN EXISTING ONE WHICH IS 40 FEET TALL. NEIGHBORS HAD NO ISSUES WITH THE TANK UNTIL THEY REALIZED IT WOULD BE BIGGER THAN THE ORIGINAL ONE, AROUND 60 FEET. SPRINGS UTILITIES SAYS THEY DID NOT DO A GOOD JOB OF COMMUNICATING THE ACCURATE HEIGHT OF THE TOWER. SPRINGS UTILITIES FILED AN APPEAL TO THE STOP WORK ORDER, WHICH ALLOWS THE WORK TO CONTINUE UNTIL THE APPEAL IS RESOLVED.
