TUESDAY COLORADO SPRINGS CITY COUNCIL GAVE FIRST APPROVAL FOR A MOVE TO ANNEX A 145-ACRE PARCEL OF LAND INTO THE CITY THAT WILL EVENTUALLY TURN INTO HUNDREDS OF HOMES. WE TOLD YOU SEVERAL WEEKS AGO DEVELOPERS WANTED TO BUILD HOMES AND CREATE COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL SPACE NORTHEAST OF THE INTERSECTION OF POWERS AND BRADLEY WHICH CURRENTLY IS PART OF UNINCORPORATED EL PASO COUNTY. CITY COUNCIL APPROVED THE PLAN BY A VOTE OF 7-0. DEVELOPERS ARE PLANNING BOTH SINGLE FAMILY AND MULTI-FAMILY UNITS TO BE BUILT ON THE PROPERTY. THE MOVE DOES FACE ONE MORE FINAL VOTE FROM CITY COUNCIL AT A LATER DATE.
