A CAR-CRASH IN COLORADO SPRINGS ON SUNDAY MORNING KILLS A PASSENGER AND LEAVES ONE WITH LIFE THREATNING INJURIES. EMERGENCY CREWS SAY THEY RESPONDED TO PLATTE AND INSTITUTE FOR A SINGLE CAR CRASH AROUND 2 AM. WHEN THEY ARRIVED, THEY FOUND THREE PASSENGERS THAT HAD SEVERE INJURIES, INCLUDING ONE WHO WAS EJECTED FROM THE CAR. THEY WERE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL WHERE ONE LATER DIED. POLICE SAY THE CAR WAS HEADING EAST ON PLATTE WHEN IT LOST CONTROL, HIT THE CENTER MEDIAN CURB AND ROLLED. SPEED AND IMPAIRMENT APEEAR TO BE A FACTOR ACCORDING TO POLICE. THE DRIVER, 23-YEAR-OLD JERMELL JOHKINT WAS BOOKED INTO JAIL.
