A fire that broke out Monday morning at a construction site just outside the Airforce Academy’s North Gate is now under control. Crews from Colorado Springs and the Air Force Academy responded. The fire was at a future Air Force Academy Hotel and Convention Center. The blaze closed down the north gate for around two hours during the morning commute but is since reopened.
