A POSSIBLE STRIKE COULD BEGIN FOR KAISER PERMANENTE EMPLOYEES ACROSS THE NATION, INCLUDING COLORADO, AFTER A DEAL WASN’T REACHED BETWEEN THE UNION AND KAISER PERMANENTE. THE UNION IS ASKING KAISER TO IMPROVE STAFFING LEVELS THAT TOOK A HIT DUE TO THE PANDEMIC AND ADDRESS WAGES AND BENEFIT DEMANDS. TALKS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE TODAY, HOWEVER IF THE STRIKE DOES START TOMORROW, IT WOULD MEAN OVER 3,000 EMPLOYEES IN COLORADO WOULD WALK OUT. DUE TO THIS THE HEALTH NETWORK DID SEND OUT ALERTS TELLING PATIENTS WITH NONURGENT PROCEDURES AND APPOINTMENTS THEY WILL NEED TO BE RESCHEDULED.
