The St Charles fire burning near Rye in Pueblo and Custer counties has grown to more than 300 acres and is zero percent contained. High winds and low moisture across southern Colorado have made fighting the blaze even more challenging. The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office says they implemented a burn ban in the area due to the St Charles fire, and it will continue until crews have made significant progress.
