We’re learning new details after a 20-year-old man was found dead at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park on Saturday. According to the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect broke into the park after hours wearing full tactical gear, body armor, and a ballistic helmet while carrying mulitple weapons and explosives. Investigators say additional explosives were found in the man’s vehicle. The sheriff’s office believes based on amount of weaponry, ammunition, and explosives found the suspect was likely planning an attack but decided not to go through with it and instead chose to take his own life. The investigation is ongoing.
