Officials have announced the closure of a major roadway on the North end of Colorado Springs. Starting Monday, crews begin work on an overpass for the eventual extension of Powers Boulevard between Voyager Parkway and I-25. During construction, workers will close that area of Voyager Parkway. Officials suggest taking Spectrum Loop through Polaris Pointe as a detour. But they say it may be necessary to find another route during rush hour. The 18-million-dollar project is expected to take one year.
