Pueblo Police face a lawsuit following a 2022 tasing incident

A Pueblo Police officer and the Pueblo Police chief are facing a lawsuit filed Monday after a woman was tased in February of 2022. Mehr Law Firm has released a video of the incident. They say Cristy Gonzales was tased while she was unarmed and following police commands. The law firm states Gonzales was suspected of driving a stolen vehicle that ran out of gas while officers were trying to stop her. In addition, Mehr claims Gonzales was tased in the back next to her spine and continues to have health issues related to the tasing. Meanwhile, Pueblo Police say can not comment during litigation.
