An investigation is underway after an inmate’s death at the El Paso County Jail Tuesday morning. officials have not identified the 44-year-old man. They say he was found unresponsive and not breathing in his cell. The sheriff’s office says deputies and medical staff initiated life-saving measures until first responders arrived but the inmate passed away. At this time, EPSO does not suspect criminal activity or foul play. the cause of death will be determined by the El Paso County Coroner.
