The U.S. Space Command has a new leader. General Stephen Whiting has taken over the role of commander, previously held by General James H Dickenson. Whiting was a 1989 distinguished graduate of the Air Force Academy and was most recently the commander of Space Operations at Peterson Space Force Base.
