ACCORDING TO REPORTS THE 4TH JUDICAL DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE HAS OFFERED PLEA DEALS TO JON AND CARRIE HALLFORD, OWNERS OF THE RETURN TO NATURE FUNERAL HOME. SOME 190 BODIES WERE FOUND IMPROPERLY STORED AT THE HOME LAST OCTOBER. JON HALLFORD’S DEAL IS 20 YEARS IN PRISON IF HE PLEADS GUILTY TO 190 CASES OF ABUSING A CORPSE. CARRIE HALLFORD’S DEAL IS FOR A 15-20 YEAR PRISON SENTENCE ON THOSE SAME CHARGES. THEIR NEXT COURT APPEARANCE IS THURSDAY JULY 11TH WHERE THEY ARE EXPECTED TO ENTER PLEAS. THE PLEA DEAL IS ON THE TABLE UNTIL OCTOBER. THE COUPLE STILL FACES FEDERAL CHARGES OF IMPROPERLY USING COVID RELIEF FUNDS FROM THE GOVERNMENT, WITH AN OCTOBER TRIAL DATE SET.
