A DRIVER WAS ARRESTED EARLIER THIS MORNING AFTER HITTING A WORKER IN A CONSTRUCTION ZONE. THE SUSPECT HIT THE PERSON ON HIGHWAY 24 BETWEEN FALCON HIGHWAY AND GARRET ROAD. THE DRIVER THEN LEFT THE SCENE. ANOTHER WORKER JUMPED INTO A CAR AND TRAILED THE SUSPECT, LEADING THE STATE PATROL TO MAKE AN ARREST NEAR POWERS AND AEROPLAZA. THE STATE PATROL SAYS THE FLAGGER WAS NOT INJURED. THE DRIVER IS FACING A BEVY OF CHARGES INCLUDING DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE.
