Colorado Springs City Council Listen to Community’s Complaints about “Ford Amphitheater”

COLORADO SPRINGS CITY COUNCIL HEARD FROM MORE THAN TWO DOZEN RESIDENTS TUESDAY COMPLAINING ABOUT HOW LOUD THE MUSIC IS,  COMING FROM THE NEW FORD AMPHITHEATER. THE CITY HAS RECEIVED HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS FROM RESIDENTS AROUND THE VENUE

OTHER RESIDENTS USING PROFESSIONAL DECIBEL MEASURING DEVICES SAY THEY CAN HEAR MUSIC IN THEIR HOMES WITH WINDOWS SHUT. THE AMPHITHEATER WAS GRANTED A HARDSHIP PERMIT BY THE CITY WHICH ALLOWS THE VENUE TO EXCEED CITY NOISE LIMITS IN THE EVENING AND OVERNIGHT HOURS. RESIDENTS ARE DEMANDING “VENU”, THE OWNERS OF THE FORD AMPHITHEATER TO TURN THE MUSIC DOWN. THE OWNERS OF THE AMPHITHEATER WILL MEET WITH CITY OFFICIALS TODAY TO DISCUSS POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS.
