COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – More than 2,100 jobs are coming to Colorado Springs.
Sierra Completions, a company that fits out airplane interiors for high end clients, will build an $88 million hanger complex at the Colorado Springs Airport.
$400 million in incentives were offered to land the Nevada-based company, which is expected to pump more than $5 billion into the local economy.
An additional 283 more jobs could also be coming to the Springs.
A California company is considering a site in the Colorado Springs Airport's business park for a $300 million space training facility.
The Gazette reports, it would include a variety of advanced equipment that simulates weightlessness and other aspects of space travel.
The Colorado Economic Development Commission has approved $3 million in state income tax credits for the company.
The commission did not identify the business, which also is considering locations in California and Puerto Rico.
