COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – A suspected drunk driving crash turns deadly in Colorado Springs.
Police say an unidentified 24-year-old man lost control of a car on I-25 just north of Fillmore early Sunday.
The careening vehicle smashed into a tree, sending the driver and his 20-year-old female passenger, to a hospital. She later succumbed to her injuries.
Part of the highway was closed for hours.
No names were released, pending notification of family. The driver was arrested for DUI and Vehicular Homicide.
