COLORADO SPRINGS – A homicide investigation is underway after a teenage boy was shot and killed outside the leasing office of the Greentree Village Apartments in Colorado Springs on Sunday. CSPD says there was a report of gunfire at the apartment complex on N. Carefree Circle and N. Academy Boulevard at about 2:00 p.m.
First responders found the teen in the parking lot and attempts were made to save his life, but they were unsuccessful. Access to the area was blocked off for several hours for the investigation.
The boy’s name has not been released yet and no suspect information is available yet, Police are asking anyone who witnessed anything to please contact them at 719-444-7000.
