EL PASO COUNTY – El Paso County Sheriff’s Department is investigating after about 30 dead cattle were found near Schriever Airforce Base and Curtis Road Tuesday morning. Authorities do not believe the deaths are due to any criminal activity. A veterinarian was called to the scene and determined the cattle may have died from a food-related illness, but the exact cause of death will not be available until more testing is done, and autopsies are conducted.
