Colorado AG and Directv reach settlement

The Colorado Attorney General’s office has reached an agreement with Directv for the satellite tv service to pay a million dollars in refunds to more than 200 thousand current and past customers in Colorado. The tv service was charging customers for the Altitude television channel even though they weren’t carrying its programming because of a price dispute with altitude. Directv will issue 5 dollar credits to current customers, and will give 5 dollar checks to previous customers. Directv was also cited for charging a high definition fee to customers even though it’s now considered a standard of tv broadcasting.
