SECURITY — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has identified a woman who died in a fire in security last month. It happened at a home on Cypress Drive. When fire crews arrived, they began evacuating neighboring homes due to the large flames and smoke. Once the home was safe to enter, they found the body of 85-year-old Frieda Mason. Multiple agencies, including the Security Fire Department, Fountain Fire Department, and investigators from Fort Carson, are all working together in the investigation. The cause of the fire is not yet determined.
