Scary moments for neighbors in southeast Colorado Springs as El Paso County deputies hunted a wanted man Wednesday afternoon. Deputies had stopped a car driven by 30 year old Joseph Long. He was found to have several outstanding warrants. Long took off, and drove to a southeast Colorado Springs neighborhood near Hancock and Montrose. He ditched the vehicle and took off on foot. Deputies initiated a reverse 9-1-1 call telling neighbors to lock their doors and shelter in place. Some 3 hours after the initial traffic stop Long was apprehended and taken into custody.
