COLORADO SPRINGS – Three hikers are safe after they had to be rescued from a trail in Cheyenne Mountain State Park on Sunday night. The Colorado Springs Fire Department says the hikers called in for help, saying they were physically unable to complete the trip down the mountain.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife and CSFD rescue crews used motorcycles to reach the hikers, who were about six miles up a trail.  The fire department said the hikers were off the mountain by around 8:30 last night.
