Governor Jared Polis has requested medical teams from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to come to Colorado to help with the surging number of COVID cases across the state. He announced yesterday that he’d asked FEMA to send teams to areas of the state where hospitals were especially full. Polis also put a 30-day hold on all cosmetic surgeries in the state. El Paso County has some of the highest COVID numbers in Colorado, and Colorado has some of the highest case numbers in the country.
