An El Paso County Deputy is behind bars himself this morning, accused of sexual assault and kidnapping. The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says that the deputy in question is Dalton Bridges, and charges include sexual assault and second-degree kidnapping, related to domestic violence. He was arrested on Wednesday by Fountain Police, and is currently being held in the Teller County Jail. No other details on the background of the charges have been released. Bridges has been an EPSO deputy since 2019, working in Detention Security. He has been placed on administrative leave per department policy. An investigation is underway, and the Sheriff’s Office says they will not provide any further statements.
