Club Q Set to Reopen in the Fall

The owners of Club Q plan to reopen the LGBTQ+ nightspot this fall. The announcement came yesterday, and the owners have been planning redesigns at the site. Club Q says that when they reopen, they plan to have enhanced security measures — including screening technology. The owners are working with state, local and federal agencies on the improvements. The club hopes to become “a model for countless queer spaces across the country.” In November, a gunman entered the nightspot and opened — killing five people and injuring over a dozen others. The suspect was overpowered by two clubgoers, and arrested. The alleged shooter, Anderson Aldrich, is being held without bond, and faces over 300 charges connected with the shooting.
