Springs Airport numbers up

  The Colorado Springs Airport reports an increase of passengers flying out of the Springs. In April more than 67 thousand people flew out of the Springs airport. Childrens Hospital Colorado declares emergency

  Children’s Hospital Colorado is declaring a mental health state of emergency for kids across the state.  They say they’ve seen a huge increase in emergency room visits for children who have attempted suicide.  Mental health emergency visits rose 90-percent across the hospital system in April. Cemetary damaged in Manitou

  Authorities in Manitou Springs say vandals have damaged a number of grave sites at Crystal Valley cemetery. Some 50 grave sites were disturbed with headstones and monuments knocked over. Air Force AD contract extended

  Nathan Pine, Athletic Director at the Air Force Academy, has had his contract extended through 2026. Pine was hired in 2019, coming from Holy Cross University. Commission pauses approval for new neighborhood

  The Colorado Springs Planning Commission agreed with residents Thursday and paused plans for the construction of some 250 homes in a new development north of Powers Boulevard and Old Ranch Road.
