CSPD determined a suspicious substance was cocaine

Colorado Springs Police say a situation involving a suspicious package is resolved. Wednesday morning, a citizen turned in a packing envelope containing a powdery substance to the Falcon substation. After investigating, authorities determined the substance was cocaine, and turned it over to CSPD’s narcotics unit. Goddard Street was closed for hours from Kelly Johnson Avenue to the substation parking lot during the investigation, but has since reopened.
